The need to replace fiberglass resin in the manufacture of Decorative garden decor with more eco friendly materials led me to develop composites and processing technology beyond GRC . In 2012 we managed to do just this and a patent was issued in 2014 .

Using Pastes instead of Mortars ECC fiber cement composites that would set in 10 minutes and that could be processed as if thy where clay where developed by me including the mold system and casting system .

Below are some videos of this technology in action

The ultimate test for a cement pot

fiber cement composites with multiple fiber types and lengths require special Batching and blending to disperse the fibers into the dry cement mix without clumping . The final stage of the batching system is PLC controlled dispensing of the mix into interlingual product batches . due to the rapid setting of these cement composites it is necessary to pre-batch ready for later hand mixing for each item to be produced
Smaller pots under 20 inch dia are produced in a machine with a strickle to for the pot . over 20 inches dia the pot is formed by hand

Planetary batch mixers are needed to mix fiber cement composites
It started with this bouncing pot ! Engineered cement composites took GRC to the next level for Decorative cement . a composite that dad more than one type of fiber , fiber length , fiber diameter and orientation as well as fiber chemistry allows us to build layers of mechanical properties to a composite over and above those properties we can control with aggregate management , water cement ratios and polymer additives. this was the start to being able to change the perception of what cement was and what it could do
